We Couldn't Say It Better Ourselves!

A review by GradyShark from Houston, Texas who was recently on the Haunted Hannibal Ghost Tour:

"The tour guide took us around Hannibal and told us some fascinating real life stories and reported ghost encounters, while teaching us a great deal about the history of the town. The highlight of the tour was visiting the graveyard. My younger cousins, who tagged along, enjoyed "talking" to spirits using dowsing rods. You don't have to believe in ghosts or the paranormal to have fun on this tour." Visited July 2016

Got Ghosts?

Okay, all you skeptics out there...I have to report to you that we have had SO MANY paranormal experiences in the past week! Each tour seems to bring more "insight" into energies detected during our cemetery walks...

Last Saturday we had David M. on our 3pm tour. David gives ghost tours in Alton, Illinois, and told me he was also clairvoyant. We detected a cold spot while we were roaming around Old Baptist Cemetery, and David confirmed it was "energy" by saying, "There's a lady standing next to you, Lisa." OOOH, I wish I had "the gift" and could have seen her! David also said he sensed a young African American male wandering in the back near the fence line at Old Baptist...

On Sunday night at the 7pm tour, one of our guests, Alison S., snapped a photo with what might be a moving orb near the fence in Old Baptist Cemetery. Although my husband Ken is always skeptical of orbs in photos, I've put this photo on today's blog posting with a close-up as well so that you can be the judge...

On Monday, we enjoyed a visit on our 3pm tour from John, his wife Lisa, his son Joseph and daughter Lexie who were from the St. Louis area. Soon young Joseph became very adept working with the dowsing rods, using them to ask questions of energy at Mt. Olivet (rods "opening" for yes, "crossing" for no). Joseph ended up having quite a conversation with Sarah, a lady buried at Mt. Olivet whose headstone is near the Clemens family, under a pine tree (if you've taken our tour, you'll recall that Sarah's headstone has a big chunk that has fallen from the lower right corner but somehow miraculously still stands). Later, at Old Baptist Cemetery, Joseph befriended a Civil War Union soldier...his father John began to taunt the soldier a bit, telling him he was from the South, and suddenly reported being "poked" in the back by an unseen force! Joseph continued to have a lengthy conversation with the soldier, and joined us again on our 7pm tour as other guests watched him resume his conversation. Fascinating!

Ms. Kotani from Japan was on our 7pm tour last night and was shocked to hear on our tour that the bed and breakfast she was staying at, the Garden House, was haunted! However, she came to the shop this morning to tell me that she believed she'd actually SEEN and HEARD a ghost in her room at the Garden House last night!

Samantha W. from Arizona was also on our tour last night at 7pm, a delightful young lady. She told me near the beginning of the tour that she was "sensitive" to energies, but I had no idea just how sensitive she was! She said she could feel the presence of Sarah at Mt. Olivet cemetery (the same Sarah that Joseph was talking to on Monday). Samantha also sensed energy near the west fence-line of Old Baptist Cemetery. In her words, the energies there were not threatening, but were protective of their space. Samantha believes that at any given time, there are as many as 15 to 20 spirits roaming Old Baptist Cemetery!
