Hello again friends, we've been having a wonderful time introducing our guests to Haunted Hannibal, and we have new paranormal reports to share with you!
On Sunday we had a delightful group, and one guest in particular had quite an interesting experience...as we were walking through Mt. Olivet Cemetery with dowsing rods, Ms. Joyce Ray was surprised that her rods kept pointing in one direction. I told her that it was possible she was being "led" to a certain location, and to follow the rods' lead. As she walked they pulled her approx. 30 feet towards a particular headstone, and as she approached the headstone the rods crossed, signaling that she had reached her destination. I watched as she examined the headstone in front of her, and suddenly her mouth dropped open and her eyes grew wide...she called for me to come over...and she said, "The name on this headstone is Moore. That is my mother's maiden name!" She was astounded that she might have been personally summoned by the departed buried there! She also told me she had just recently joined Ancestry.com and had planned to start researching that part of her family tree...so perhaps this Moore was kin!
It is so delightful when one of our guests has a personal "connection" while exploring around the cemeteries...hopefully their experiences encourage others to visit their family's graves to reconnect with their dearly departed, as well!
Here's a photograph of Ms. Ray by the Moore headstone:
Then, last night, we had another fun bunch on tour. One family was from Southampton, United Kingdom, and Ms. Jessica Lenehan snapped this interesting photo out at Old Baptist Cemetery:
Below is another photo taken seconds later, with no "white spot" to the right:
And here's a close-up of the first photo Jessica took, what do you think???
As usual, Old Baptist Cemetery never fails to provide chills and thrills to guests on tour!
